Snap a photo and stare at Preservons la Creation, the giant mural in Midtown that was created by Houston artist Sebastien “Mr. D” Boileau.
Standing five stories tall and one city block-wide, the 10,000-square-foot mural dominates the corner of Fannin and Tuam in Midtown.
As deigned by the French-American Boileau, the mural is a twist on the depiction of God in Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. The name Preservons La Creation is French for “Let’s Preserve the Creation.”
Although the location’s address is on San Jacinto Street in Midtown, the mural itself is on the back of the building and faces Fannin Street. An empty lot sits in front of the mural, so there’s plenty of room to find your perfect photo angle.
