On view in the Louisa Stude Sarofim Gallery is In the Wake: Japanese Photographers Respond to 3/11 – the first exhibition in the United States or Japan to explore the photographic response to the Great East Japan Earthquake which struck on March 11, 2011, destroying virtually everything in its path.

Visitors can also get a free look at the fantastic 3D photography of Slovenian artist Matjaž Tančič in 3DPRK: North Korean Portraits on view in the Sarofim Grand Hall.

Tančič’s landmark 3DPRK series offers a unique glimpse of the citizens of Pyongyang, North Korea’s capital, which continues to remain unfamiliar to the outside world.
