Head Downtown for a historic night out filled with games, food, drinks, music, and live entertainment during A Night at Market Square on Saturday, October 8, 2016.

A Night at Market Square welcomes Houstonians and visitors to enjoy an evening exploring the Historic District in the heart of Downtown.

Peruse the eclectic bars and restaurants, tour a penthouse loft for complimentary treats at The Rice, take in a free show of live latin music at Batanga, enjoy punch specials and a tight pants party at Prohibition, 50% off all food at Conservatory from midnight to close, and plenty more food and beverage specials sprinkled throughout the Historic District.

And on the 300 and 400 blocks of Main Street you’ll find Market on Main, where food and fashion trucks will be stationed from 7pm to midnight.

Starting at 6pm, the park will have activities in the Saint Arnold Game Garden like jumbo beer pong, Jenga or cornhole, plus live music from the evening headliner, Bright Light Social Hour at 8pm.

About Market Square Park

Market Square Park is one square block located where Congress Avenue and Preston Street meet Milam and Travis Streets. The park was gifted to the city by Augustus Allen in 1854 and served as an open-air produce and fish market under the name of Congress Square at the center of the city. In 2009, the park underwent extensive renovations to restore its original role in the neighborhood and reopened to the public in 2010. Today the park offers a dog run, garden, public art, and Greek food from Niko Niko’s.
