Volunteer with Eye Care For Kids and see the impact of providing vision screening, eye exams, and glasses for children in need.
There are more than 20,000 children in the Houston area who suffer from impaired vision. Unfortunately, there are even more children who struggle to see clearly who haven’t even been identified yet. Eye Care For Kids, a local nonprofit, aims to improve the lives of children by providing vision screening, eye exams, and glasses for children who could not otherwise afford them.
Through donations of time and money, volunteers can help raise awareness about how to support Eye Care For Kids. Volunteers are needed to help organize community eye screening events, assist with community outreach and clerical work, and assist with fundraising events such as the dinner auction and golf tournament.
About Eye Care For Kids
Founded in 1998, the nonprofit has provided more than 40,000 pairs of glasses to kindergarten through high school aged children. By partnering with more than 100 local eye doctors, low-income and uninsured families are able to give children the visual aids needed to excel academically and socially.
Join the vision of a brighter future for Houston children by volunteering with or donating to Eye Care For Kids.
