Apply now to join Young Leaders Institute at Asia Society Texas Center from Monday, June 20 to Friday, June 24, 2016.
Asia Society Texas Center (ASTC) is calling all Houston area high school students to apply for Young Leaders Institute 2016: China, taking place this summer.
Focusing specifically on China, the week-long program will prepare students for challenges that face our world, and will explore issues like cybersecurity, climate change, energy cooperation, and military conflict.
Students will research, debate and present solutions for these global challenges as they work in teams and are led by ASTC staff and local experts. They’ll engage in the four tenets on global competency – investigating the world, recognizing perspectives, communicating ideas, and taking action – as they gain a deeper understanding of political, social, economic and environmental issues in China.
While this course is free, students must complete an application and submit a letter of recommendation online by Friday, April 15, 2016. Click here to apply.
Students will be notified of their acceptance by Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
