Dress up and go wild at the 2016 Legendary Art Car Ball at Allen Center on Friday, April 8, 2016, the eve of the 29th annual Houston Art Car Parade.

It’s one of the zaniest nights of the year in Houston, so it’s only fitting that it’s presented by the Orange Show. The night before the infamous Houston Art Car Parade makes its way down Houston’s streets for the 29th time, the event organizers throw a big party.

Many of the featured art cars will be on display and guests deck themselves out in costumes and over-the-top attire. They’re typically more fun to look at than the cars. Click here for more event information.

The live music line-up this year includes Sam “Shake” Anderson, The Suspects, Free Rads 2nd Line, Gio Chamba and with DJ sets by Fredster and Kangaroo Sexy. Local comedians Antoine Culbreath and Mills-McCoin are set to host the event.

And don’t forget about the big event itself, the 2014 Houston Art Car Parade on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
