- 2016 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo | Daily – Take advantage of the world’s largest rodeo at NRG Park. Fill your days and nights with livestock shows, carnival rides, fried food, horse shows, shopping, rodeo competition and live music. Tickets start at $10. Grounds open at 8am daily.
- Rabbit Hole at Theatre Southwest | Friday and Saturday – Watch a production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Rabbit Hole at Theatre Southwest. $18; limited discounted $9 tickets available. 8pm.
- A Streetcar Named Desire at The Kaleidoscope | Friday to Sunday – Catch Bayou City Theatrics’ take on a A Streetcar Named Desire – now playing at The Kaleidoscope. Tickets start between $30 to $35; limited discounted $15 to $17.50 tickets available. Friday and Saturday 8pm; Sunday 5pm.
- Rice University Owls Baseball vs. UCF Knights at Reckling Park | Friday to Sunday – Take your seat to watch the Owls when they play UCF in a three-game series on their home field. Tickets start at $15, but you may find better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Friday 6pm; Saturday 4pm; Sunday 1pm.
- Dialogues des Carmelites at Frenetic Theatre | Friday to Sunday – Watch the English translation of Dialogues des Carmelites, an opera that follows the Carmelite nuns through the French Revolution, at Frenetic Theatre. Tickets start at $40; limited comped and discounted $20 tickets available. Friday and Saturday 7pm; Sunday 5pm.
- University of Houston Cougars Baseball vs. Baylor at Cougar Field | Friday to Sunday – Watch as the Cougars take the diamond to battle the bears in American’s pastime. Tickets start at $6, but you may find better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Friday and Saturday 6:30pm; Sunday 1pm.

- Sculpted in Steel Exhibition at MFAH – Check out the Sculpted in Steel: Art Deco Automobiles and Motorcycles exhibition, which showcases 14 cars and 3 motorcycles from the innovative Art Deco period. Included with museum admission. 10am to 7pm.
- First Thursday on Mid Main | FREE to attend – Shop around while you enjoy bar bites, drink specials, art and more during this monthly event on Mid Main. This evening benefits HCP. 5pm to 10pm.
- Fly Fishing Film Tour at Saint Arnold Brewery – Calling all fly fishing enthusiasts to Saint Arnold Brewery for the F3T which features a variety of fly fishing films from around the world. $30. 6pm to 9:30pm.
