Enjoy a night of dance floor pop gems by Brooklyn-based electronic duo Tanlines at Walter’s Downtown Sunday, January 17, 2016.

Hot off the release of their latest record, Highlights, the new release finds the duo shedding their electronic samples for a more old-fashioned approach with techno synths and guitars.

The band, which formed in 2008 as a one-off project by singer/guitarist Eric Emm and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Cohen, find themselves further evolving their sound and reshaping lyrical subject matter nearly a decade since they started.

Themes of love now replace internal questioning of the unknown. Relationships that have shifted through growth and time give way to reflections on the past in the form of upbeat Highlights.

If Tanlines’ experimental dance pop isn’t enough to get you to mark your calendars, you can count on a dance party in and of local openers Wrestlers who kick off the night at the Downtown mainstay.
