Witness the Houston Rockets face the San Antonio Spurs at the Toyota Center on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2015.

High-profile Christmas Day games are an NBA tradition, and the Rockets scored one of the league’s five holiday matchups with this primetime showdown against the mighty and seemingly ageless Spurs.

Led by erstwhile coach Gregg Popovich and forward Tim Duncan — two future Hall of Famers who have won five NBA Championships together since 1999 — the Spurs also feature longtime stars Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli, along with free agent acquisition LaMarcus Aldridge and rising star Kawhi Leonard.

The Rockets are 91-106 all-time against their in-state rivals, including 1-3 last season.
