Dine-in or drive-through for Southern fried favorites at the new Lees Fried Chicken & Donuts on Heights Boulevard.

Featuring Springer Mountain Farms chicken with no antibiotics, growth stimulants or hormones, Lee’s Fried Chicken & Donuts brings a new twist to the fried stand-bys.

Newly opened, the restaurant is the latest brainchild of Lee Ellis of F.E.E.D. TX Restaurant Group, whose organization also launched and runs the Liberty Kitchen restaurants in the Heights and River Oaks, BRC Gastropub and Petite Sweets.

“Who doesn’t love fried chicken and donuts? Lee’s Fried Chicken & Donuts is the perfect meld of some of the South’s best comfort food served in one of Houston’s most historic and personality-fueled neighborhoods,” said Ellis.

Savory Fried Chicken

The menu features tasty chicken dishes includes Lee’s fried chicken sandwich, a fried chicken salad sandwich, and pulled chicken chopped kale with sweet roasted peanut dressing.

You can also find family-friendly fried chicken combos ranging from two to eight pieces of chicken, as well as single serving pieces.

Diners looking for an extra kick to their meal can choose from different sauces including Dreamland Style BBQ sauce.

Macaroni, cole slaw, creamed corn, mash potato, potato salad and warm rolls compliment the fried chicken menu.

Sweet Fresh Donuts & Treats

Balancing the savory, Lee’s also offers fresh glazed and cake donuts (not to mention kolaches) made fresh daily. Options are more whimsical than your normal donut fare, ranging from donuts with praline bacon and caramel icing, blueberry cake with blueberry icing and vanilla donuts with Mexican chocolate icing.

You can further tempt your sweet tooth with Lee’s Apple Hand Pie and Big as Your Face Chocolate Cookies.
