Catch a performance of the crowd-pleasing, toe-tapping, heart-warming Matilda The Musical when the national touring show of the Broadway hit plays the Hobby Center from Tuesday, October 6 to Sunday, October 18, 2015.
The Tony-Award-winning Matilda The Musical was Time magazine’s number-one show of the year. This story about an extraordinary little girl who dreams of a better life comes from the brilliantly creative mind of Roald Dahl, who write Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach and Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Based on Dahl’s beloved novel Matilda (also the inspiration for the ’96 film of the same name), Matilda The Musical has a powerhouse team behind it, including Tony-winning director Matthew Warchus and Tony-winning playwright Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Australian comedian, musician and composer Tim Minchin.
See how Matilda, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny in this national tour presented by Theatre Under the Stars.
