  • Houston Restaurant Weeks | Daily – Dine out at some of Houston’s best restaurants to enjoy prix fixe brunch, lunch and dinner menus at special pricing. A portion of sales from each HRW menu benefits the Houston Food Bank. Click here to explore participating restaurants on a map. $20 to $45. Locations and times vary.
  • ”Hard Knocks Day” at Houston Texans Training Camp at the Houston Methodist Training Center | Monday, August 3 – In anticipation of the HBO series Hard Knocks With The Houston Texans that debuts next week, Monday’s practice will be preceeded by a tailgate competition and Back to School Drive. The first 100 people to bring a new school supply item will receive a Hard Knocks premium item. Tailgate judging 4:15pm to 5:30pm; practice 6pm to 9pm.
  • Fifth Harmony in Concert at Bayou Music Center | Monday, August 3 – Hit American girl group Fifth Harmony – you might remember them from season 2 of X Factor – is stopping in Houston to perform a concert as part of their tour. Don’t miss the show, we hear it’ll be so Worth It. Tickets start at $42.49 including ticket fees, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the TicketNetwork resale site. 7pm.
  • Houston Shakespeare Festival at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Tuesday, August 4 to Sunday, August 9 | FREE – Catch a free performance of Shakespeare’s MacBeth, The Merchant of Venice or both under the stars at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8:30pm each night.
  • Sundown at the Grove in Discovery Green | Wednesday, August 5 – The Grove’s summer happy hour series is back. Enjoy a flight of four craft ciders accompanied by light food pairings during this weekly event at the Discovery Green restaurant. $20. 5:30pm to 8pm.
  • Free Show Featuring The Tontons at The Continental Club | Wednesday, August 5 | FREE – Be the first to hear the newest material from Houston band The Tontons as well as performances by Say Girl Say and Dollie Barnes during this free show at the Continental Club. 7pm.
  • The Tipsy Dessert Bar Festival at The Silo | Friday, August 7 – Get tipsy during this alcohol-infused event featuring boozy bites, sweet treats, live music and more. Free admission with RSVP; $50 VIP. 6:30pm.
  • UniverSoul Circus at Butler Stadium | Daily Starting Thursday, August 6 – Take in a high-energy, international circus with human performance acts from the Caribbean, Africa, China and more, as well as stunning displays of zebras and lions. $17 to $26; the same seats are available discounted to $12 to $18.50 for a limited time. Times vary.
  • Robin Willams Tribute at the National Museum of Funeral History | Saturday, August 8 – Pay your respects to the beloved comedian and actor one year after his death, and remember his great hilarious work, at this all day tribute featuring photos documenting his life and career, trivia tests about the characters he’s played and even a Robin Williams impersonator. $7 to $10. 10am to 5pm.
  • 5 Seconds of Summer in Concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Saturday, August 8 – Jam out to Australian pop band 5 Seconds of Summer during their ROWYSO Tour in The Woodlands. First run tickets are sold out, but limited tickets are available on the TicketNetwork or Ticket Monster resale sites. 7:30pm.
  • Pat Green Benefit Concert at The Grand | Saturday, August 8 – Hear country music singer Pat Green sing live during this benefit concert for the Gulf Coast Big Brothers & Big Sisters in Galveston. Tickets start at $27. 7:30pm.
  • Lone Star Iced Tea Festival in Downtown | Sunday, August 9 – Keep cool with samples of delicious iced teas, and enjoy a program of live music, dancing and cowboy poetry. Kid activities available in a kid corner. $12 in advance; $15 at the door 11am to 5pm.
