In “My View of Houston,” we feature a local photographer and their interpretation of the city through their lens. This week, we’re very pleased to feature Devinn Campbell.

My View of Houston

Houston’s unique downtown skyline glows at night in this image from photographer Devinn Campbell. “This is one of my favorite shots of the city,” says Campbell, a portrait photographer who splits his time between Houston and Los Angeles. After being discharged from the Navy and heading back to his native Houston in 2011, Campbell picked up a camera and started seeing things with a photographer’s take on everything from buildings to people. “I started off doing street photography and would just see things that would catch my eye and make me want to capture it,” explains Campbell, “but lately I’ve been building with models to make a unique vintage look that I find fun and appealing for the moment.”
