  • Wild Wheels at the Houston Zoo – Stroll around the zoo with your child(ren) and learn about long haired mammals during this monthly program aimed at children from newborn to 3 years old. This event is part of the Wild Wheels series. $25 for first child includes 1 adult admission; zoo members: $10 children and $2 adults. 9:15am to 10:15am.
  • In Plain Sight Screening and Discussion at the Grand in Galveston | FREE – Learn about the issue of sex trafficking in Galveston, the state of Texas and the rest of the country during this screening and discussion at The Grand. 6:30pm.
  • Heather Webb Booksigning – Hear from the author of Rodin’s Lover during an appearance at Brazos Bookstore. $16 for a paperback copy of the book. 7pm.
  • Iva Dawn in Concert at Fitzgerald’s – See UH graduate Iva Dawn – who just released her debut EP – perform at Fitzgerald’s in the Heights. $5. 8pm.
  • Mick Jenkins in Concert at Warehouse Live – Watch hip-hop artist Mick Jenkins in concert with Kirk Knight. $20.50. 8pm.
  • Dre Day at Boondocks – Enjoy gin & juice specials and west coast rap videos at Boondocks during this event celebrating the work of Dr. Dre. Free for guests 21 and older. 10pm.
