The future is looking bright for those of you wanting to attend a great party on NYE. From special New Year’s dinner menus and parties at your favorite neighborhood bar to extravagant penthouse cocktail parties and Alice in Wonderland-themed bashes, our guide to New Years Eve in Houston has the answer.

Like everything we do, this list is not a comprehensive, but instead features many of our favorites. We will continue to add events to it throughout the rest of December. So let us know if you don’t see your favorite or check back if you want to see what else is happening on the last night of 2014 and the first of 2015.

Downtown

  • NYE at the Hyatt Regency Houston – Live it up in the grand atrium of the Hyatt Regency, with a 33-story midnight balloon drop (we’re talking 50,000 balloons here) and distinct party areas showcasing two live bands and a DJ mixing it up. Packages are available if you want to stay the night.
  • Penthouse Cocktail Party at Hotel ICON – Ring in the new year from the top of Hotel ICON in their three-story penthouse suite. This private event has staffing, food and beverage options, and will allow you to celebrate with up to 40 guests while taking in spectacular city views. The penthouse suite starts at $10,000 for the night.
  • A Midnight’s Kiss New Year’s Eve Bash at PURE Nightclub & Lounge – Seal your evening with a kiss at PURE. Guests will enjoy a live DJ and complimentary champagne toast when the clock strikes midnight. $40; limited comp to $15 tickets available. 8pm to 2am.
  • Ars Lyrica Felices Fiestas NYE Concert and Gala at the Hobby Center – Enjoy Spanish and Latin American classics performed by duo Melissa Givens and Cecilia Duarte in a special NYE concert. Following the musical program, celebrate at the Ars Lyrica’s holiday gala in the lobby, with champagne and dessert. $36 to $180; limited discounted $18 to $90 tickets available. 9pm concert; 10:30 gala.
  • Happy New Year Party at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar – Sing in the New Year at Pete’s alongside four dueling piano players. $20 general admission; $45 per barstool; $300 per table of four. 8pm.
  • The Good Life NYE 2015 at Venue – Ring in the new year while dancing to sounds by DJ Hi-C at Venue nightclub. $30; VIP packages start at $60. 9pm to 4am.
  • New Year’s Eve at Artista – Enjoy a four-course meal and full-on Latin-inspired New Years Eve party with live entertainment from 9:30pm to 1:30am, a champagne toast, three drink tickets and more. 7:30pm to 1:30am. $145 per person.
  • New Year’s Eve Soul Celebration at MKT BAR – Jive to the live funky sounds of The Journey Agents as well as ’60s soul, pop and rock 45s spun by DJ Tempty at MKT BAR at Downtown’s Phoenicia Specialty Foods. Admission includes music, light bites and a champagne toast. 9pm to 2am. $30 online. $40 at the door.

Midtown

Washington Avenue + The Heights

  • From Dusk til Dawn: NYE 2015 at Fox Hollow – Dance to music from multiple DJs and get your chance to grab some cash during the $1000 drop at Fox Hollow’s From Dusk til Dawn NYE Party. $15; VIP packages start at $25. 9pm to 2am.
  • The H-Town Countdown NYE 2015– Silver Street Studios comes alive with bright lights, flying aerialists, and booming beats from Rat Ranch, 80s glam cover band LC ROCKS, and KRBE’s DJ Tony Styles at this party with an open bar, champagne toast and breakfast buffet. $105 all-inclusive general admission. $2,500 for VIP access and bottle service. 9pm to 3am.
  • BLSHS NYE Masquerade Ball at Fitzgerald’s – Headliner BLSHS is joined by Teeel, New York City Queens, Children Of Pop, Yung Slutty at this masquerade party leading into 2015. Free over 21; $10 under 21. 8pm.
  • Classic Hollywood New Year’s Eve: A Night On The Silver Screen at Hughes Hangar – Walk the red-carpet lined with paparazzi taking your photos into a party filled with glitterati and those aspiring to be. Expect to see and be seen. General admission tickets start at $35 for individuals ($10 off before December 15) and range as high as $1950 for 15 people at select tables with bottle service and other bennies. 9pm to 2am.

Museum District + Rice Village

  • TOAST New Year’s 2015 at Mosaic Bar and Lounge – Toast the New Year at Mosaic Bar and Lounge while DJ Def Jam Blaster spins tunes. $20; VIP packages start at $600. 7pm to 2am.
  • White Gala NYE Party at Enigma – Party all night (literally) at Enigma Lounge during their White Gala event. Guests will enjoy music from DJ Taboo and DJ Pollo, a champagne toast, laser light show, and balloon drop filled with cash. $20; $60 VIP. 9pm to 7am.
  • Hotel ZaZa New Years Eve Party 2015 – Ring in 2015 with cocktails, hors d’ouevres and music from DJ John Tran at Hotel ZaZa. $75; room and party packages available starting at $495. 10pm to 2am.
  • NYE Bash at Baker St. Pub Rice Village – Celebrate the New Year at Baker St. Pub in Rice Village with live music by Obsolete August, a midnight champagne toast and party favors.

Upper Kirby + River Oaks

  • New Year’s Eve Dinner at Triniti – Indulge in a decadent meal before you head to your NYE bash, or turn dinner into your night out. What better way to ring in the New Year than with six-courses accompanied by wine pairings. 8pm to 11pm reservations will receive a champagne toast and party favors. Two seatings available. $150 from 5pm to 7:30pm; $175 from 8pm to 11pm.
  • New Year’s Dinner at Americas River Oaks – Enjoy a three-course meal at Americas’ Latin-infused New Year’s party complete with Cordua classics like their signature lobster corndogs and tres leches. $67.
  • NYE at Local Pour – Enjoy music from Empire 6 at this Great Gatsby inspired New Year’s bash. $15 in advance; $20 at the door; tables available. 9pm to 2am
  • Dinner at Churrascos River Oaks – Enjoy a three-course meal at the Churrascos’ Latin-infused New Years dinner complete with Cordua classics like their signature churrasco and tres leches. $65.

Galleria + Uptown

West Side + Energy Corridor

  • New Year’s Eve at CityCentre – Enjoy dinner, cocktails, entertainment and shopping specials, along with a live DJ in the plaza at CityCentre starting at 7pm, building up to midnight fireworks to ring in 2015.
  • New Year’s Eve at Hotel Sorella’s Monnalissa – Move from the CityCentre New Year’s Eve festivities inside to the chic Hotel Sorella for a show from Cody Bryan and Roxy Roca, complete with a midnight champagne toast and balloon drop in the stylish Monnalissa. Overnight packages available starting at $369 for two.
  • New Year’s Bash at Watson’s House of Ales – Celebrate the beginning of 2015 with live music, champagne and party favors at Watson’s.
  • 4th Annual Rock The Clock New Year’s Celebration at Red Oak Ballroom – Count down to midnight at Red Oak Ballroom during Rock the Clock. The party will feature a red carpet arrival, laser light show, confetti, photo booth and music from four of Houston’s hottest DJs. $35; Dinner and VIP packages available starting at $90. 8pm to 2am.
