Experience Field of Light at Discovery Green from Saturday, November 22, 2014 through Sunday, February 22, 2015.

See Discovery Green lit up with thousands of frosted glass bulbs and stems, all connected by a web of fiber optics in the site’s first ever display of temporary public artwork.

British artist Bruce Munro will make his debut in Texas as his installation Field of Light, opens at Discovery Green. This site-specific piece, which is comprised of 4,500 spheres connected by fiber optic, took Munro’s team and local volunteers over 200 hours to install.

As dusk falls over Downtown, the fiber optic is illuminated and the installation resembles a Field of Light.

An opening celebration for Field of Light, featuring performances by HSPVA Jazz Combo and Suchu Dance, will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 5pm to 7pm.
