Sunday, November 2[/quote_box_right]The weekend starts big with Halloween, followed by Dia de los Muertos and the start of the holiday market season. The popular shows Evil Dead: The Musical, The Rocky Horror Show and the free The Addams Family: A New Musical at Miller Outdoor Theatre continue to entertain but there are many other non-haunted productions and performances happening as well.

Things to Do All Weekend
- Wings Over Houston Airshow | Saturday and Sunday – See powerful displays of speed and force at this two-day event celebrating aviation displays. U.S. Navy Blue Angels and others will be on hand for stunning aerial displays. Prices and times vary.
- The Addams Family: A New Musical at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Thursday to Saturday – Wednesday Addams is all grown up and has found herself in love. Watch as the Addams Family hosts her boyfriend for dinner and the story unfolds in this musical. 7:30pm nightly.
- Ragtime, Blues & All That Jazz with the Houston Symphony | Friday to Sunday – World class trumpeter and Louis Armstrong-inspired artist Byron Stripling, joins the Houston Symphony for favorites including “Basin Street Blues”, “Maple Leaf Rag”, a tribute to Duke Ellington and “All That Jazz” from Broadway’s Chicago. $25 to $139. 8pm nightly.
- Halloween Haunted Houses and Fright Factories Around Houston | Daily – Get your fright on at Halloween and horror themed haunted house attractions, scare-fests and authentic “real life haunts.”
- Houston Fine Art Festival 2014 at George R. Brown Convention Center | Saturday to Sunday – Browse seemingly countless rows or art displays and exhibits and find a treasure to take home. Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 11am to 5pm.
- MECA Dia de los Muertos Festival | FREE | Saturday to Sunday – Recognizing the differences in Latin celebrations of Dia de los Muertos, the event focuses on the common theme of honoring family and friends. Expect music, dance, theater, food and visual arts from different Latin American countries at MECA’s nationally recognized historic Dow School in the Sixth Ward. 11am to 7pm; continues Sunday 11am to 6pm.
- The Who’s Tommy at Obsidian Art Space | Thursday and Friday – See the the rock opera based on Pete Townshend and The Who’s classic 1969 double album about a “deaf, dumb and blind kid who sure plays a mean pinball. $37.50; limited $18.75 discount tickets available. 8pm both nights.
- Agatha Christie’s Murder Mystery And Then There Were None at Houston Family Arts Center | Friday to Sunday – Ten strangers are lured to an island and stranded, where a mysterious game begins. All are accused of murder and one drops dead, and the trap begins to repeat. $20; discounted $10 tickets available for a limited time. Times vary.
- Alley Theatre presents Dracula, the Original Vampire Play at UH | Daily – Experience the classic thriller of Dracula in its original 1927 adaptation. Tickets start at $26. Times vary.
- Marie Antoinette at Stages Repertory Theatre | Daily – Experience the French Revolution from the perspective of the Austrian-born bride of France’s Louis XVI, best known for the quote “Let them eat cake.” The captivating production stars Emily Neves and contains a cutting social commentary on modern life. Hours vary.
- Evil Dead: The Musical at Stage Door Theater in Pasadena | Friday and Saturday – Prepare to get splattered with stage blood (seriously) at this hilariously campy zombie musical. $15 full price tickets; limited $10 discount tickets available for a limited time. 8pm and 11:59pm.
- Family Activities inside the Loop from BigKidSmallCity | Daily – Find events, recommendations and family-friendly activities from our favorite Houston mom-in-the-know Jill Jarvis of BigKidSmallCity.
