Laisse le bon temps rouler at Ragin’ Cajun

Enjoy fresh and authentic Cajun dishes, Louisiana seafood and traditional southern fare at Ragin’ Cajun’s original location on Richmond or in West Houston, Sugar Land, The Woodlands and even in the tunnels under Downtown Houston. 

Originally just selling po-boy sandwiches when it opened in 1974, Ragin’ Cajun has expanded in menu, scope and concept over the last 40 years. But it still focuses on great Louisiana and southern-style fare including crawfish, oysters on the half shell, catfish, muffalottas and po-boys, gumbo, jambalaya, etouffée, snow crabs and more.

Set in a casual family-style restaurant with picnic tables, old Louisiana yearbooks, signs and old photos, Ragin’ Cajun would be right at home down on the Bayou. Beer signs line the walls, reminding patrons that they can indulge in tasty bottled or draft beers. Margaritas and mixed drinks are also on hand, or patrons can go full N’awlins with one of the restaurant’s custom hurricanes.

In addition to the four full restaurants and bars, and the lunch outpost in Downtown Houston, Ragin’ Cajun also owns and operates L.A. Bar and Restaurant next door to the original Ragin’ Cajun on Richmond.
