Belt out “Let it Go” and your other favorite Frozen tracks along with the movie at a free outdoor summer screening of Disney’s mega-hit Frozen at Miller Outdoor Theatre on Saturday, July 5, 2014.

The young-at-heart of all ages will fill the hill for this movie screening under the stars. The full Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning movie will be screened and the audience is encouraged to sing along to their heart’s content.

For those not in the know, Frozen tells the tale of a young girl named Anna, who journeys through snowy peaks and dangerous cliffs to find the legendary Snow Queen and end the perpetual winter prophecy that has fallen over their kingdom of Arendelle. Elsa’s own anthem “Let it Go” has become an internet and social media sensation, with people famous and unknown taking to youtube with their own renditions, parodies and variations.

As it did across the country and the world, the movie delighted Houston audiences by the thousands upon its initial release in late 2013. Its original take on the classic Disney princess tale gave it fresh life. And the comic relief provided by the snowman Olaf has delighted both children and adults, particularly with his own showstopper, “In Summer.”

Getting a Spot at the Frozen Sing-A-Long

The event will be a popular one, so attendees will want to arrive early to secure a good spot in the pews or on the hillside. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and blankets to spread out on the hillside. Just expect the edge of your blanket to overlap with that of your neighbors. After all, Disney’s Frozen has become an American phenomenon.
