Break out the blankets and bingo cards at Blanket Bingo happening on the third Thursday evening of each month at Market Square Park from May 15 to October 16, 2014.
Market Square Park‘s popular summer pastime Blanket Bingo returns for 2014 with a thematic twist. Residents and visitors alike are invited to lounge out on lawn chairs or blankets while enjoying a historic night out filled with music, fun and bingo. This year, each night will feature a unique pop culture theme. Each night’s entertainment will be geared around theme including disco, Jimmy Buffett, dogs and toga parties. Attendees are encouraged to dress up for each theme.
2014 Blanket Bingo Schedule & Themes
The monthly evening bingo game will take place on the third Thursday of each month beginning on Thursday, May 15 and concluding after Thursday, October 16, 2014.
- May 15 – Thursday Night Fever
- June 19 – Margaritaville Summer Bash
- July 31 – Christmas in July (UPDATE 7/17/14: Postponed from July 17 due to rain)
- August 21 – Dog Days of Summer
- September 18 – Back to School Toga Party (UPDATE 9/18/14: Cancelled due to heavy rains)
- October 16 – Bonus Night! Theme to be determined (UPDATE 7/24/14)
Admission ($10) includes a packet of bingo cards which are good for about ten games. Participants are invited to spread out on the lawn on blankets or lawn chairs of snag the park’s existing tables. Bingo daubers are available for $1. Picnics from home are welcome and food, beer and wine may be purchased at Niko Niko’s. No glass containers or outside alcoholic beverages are permitted. All proceed go to support Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park

- Parking: Metered on-street parking is available and free after 6pm. $5 parking is available across the street at Market Square Garage located at 301 Milam.
- Admission: $10 per person includes a packet of bingo cards (about ten games) that offer the chance to win a number of great local prizes.
