
Plunge into the darkness at Nightmare on the Bayou haunted house, terrifying customers next to Houston’s oldest cemetery throughout October.
Located next to Olivewood Cemetery in the Heights, Nightmare on the Bayou bills itself as Houston’s only haunted house with real ghosts. Whether you believe that claim or not, they must be doing something right. The Travel Channel declared it one of the top 13 haunted houses in the United States.
Nightmare on the Bayou features dark mazes, roaming zombies, horror sets and special effect intended to make your stomach jump into your throat or plummet to your knees.
Guests purchasing the VIP speed pass can skip to the front of the line. Discounted general admission tickets are available online if purchased in advance.
High heels, sandals and flip flops are highly discouraged. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Pregnant women and people with asthma are discouraged from attending due to intense frights and heavy fog machine usage.
