
Catch the touring, show-stopping performance of The Book of Mormon as it pontificates, educates, amuses and entertains on its tour through Houston at the Hobby Center for the Arts from Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 15, 2013.Â
The audience captivating show won 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, during its original run in 2011. It was created by the controversial but talented and beloved Trey Parker and Matt Stone, themselves four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of South Park, and Robert Lopez, a Tony Award-winner and co-creator of Avenue Q.Â
Jon Stewart of The Daily Show called the show was “a crowning achievement, so good it makes me angry” and Entertainment Weekly labeled it “the funniest musical of all time.” Meanwhile, Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls “the best musical of this century.
The musical features choreography by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw. It’s directed by Nicholaw and Parker. It’s not intended for children, and you’ll be glad of that when you see it.
