Head over to Discovery Green to catch the Art Car Sneak Peek and the Thursday Concert with Texas Guitar Women – both free the evening of Thursday, May 9, 2013.
The 26th Annual Houston Art Car Parade may yet be a couple of days away, but on Thursday evening you can inspect some of this year’s grand entries up close and personal at the Art Car Houston Discovery Green sneak peek. The event kicks off at 6:30pm and guests of all ages are welcome – as are their four-legged friends (as long as dogs are kept on a leash).
And you can also catch Texas Guitar Women, as they present a free evening show at the Anheuser-Busch Stage. The band is a supergroup based in Austin featuring Carolyn Wonderland, Cindy Cashdollar, Shelley King, Sarah Brown and Lisa Pankratz and melds blues, western swing, rock and country. Herb Remington on steel guitar will open the concert.
And don’t forget about the Legendary Art Car Ball 2013 the following night on Friday, May 10 and then the big event itself, the 2013 Houston Art Car Parade on Saturday, May 11.
