Take advantage of free Thursdays at Houston’s most popular museums. 

If you’re looking to get out of bad weather, or just do something inexpensive but worthwhile, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of the these museums when they open their doors for no charge. If you’re looking for something warm and cheap to do, check out one or more of the following options.

• Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – Thursdays 10am to 9pm
• Buffalo Soldiers National Museum – Thursdays 1pm to 5pm
• Holocaust Museum Houston – Thursdays 2pm to 5pm
• The Health Museum – Thursdays 2pm to 5pm
• Houston Museum of Natural Science – Thursdays from 2pm to 5pm (winter hours)
• Children’s Museum of Houston – Thursdays 5pm to 8pm
• Houston Museum of African American Culture – Thursdays 6pm to 8pm
