  • Circus Arts at Discovery Green | Tuesday, April 10 | FREE – Circus Arts is a class that consists of ground arts and ground acrobatics such as contortion/flexibility, low tight wire, partner acrobatics, juggling, and hand balancing. Guests must be ages 13 and up to participate in the class. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream at NRG Stadium | Wednesday, April 11 to Sunday, April 15 – Bring the kids to take part in the adventure of five daring Disney heroines at the Dare to Dream ice skating show at NRG Stadium. Tickets start at $20. Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30pm; Friday 10:30am and 7:30pm; Saturday 11:30am, 3:30pm, and 7:30pm; Sunday 1:30pm and 5:30pm.
  • Art Car Sneak Peek at Discovery Green | Thursday, April 12 | FREE – Catch a glimpse of the craziest decorated cars as The Orange Show Center for Visionary Arts and Discovery Green host an evening of outdoor fun, entertainment, food, live music, and of course, art cars. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Viva Frida!: XIII Annual Frida Festival at Navigation Esplanade | Friday, April 13 | FREE – Enjoy a family-friendly outdoor market and festival celebrating the iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo, at Navigation Esplanade in the East End. Expect local artists, vendors, food booths, food trucks and more. 5pm.
  • Shipleys Donuts Dash at BBVA Compass Stadium | Saturday, April 14 – Join the Houston donuts staple, Shipley Do-Nuts, for their 4th Annual 2-mile Shipley Do-Nuts Dash benefitting Kids’ Meals starting at BBVA Compass Stadium and ending at 8th Wonder Brewery. To register, tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children ages 4 to 12. 9am to noon.
  • 25th Annual Japan Festival Houston at Hermann Park | Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 | FREE – The two-day event showcases the rich cultural heritage of Japan through traditional and contemporary performances of Japanese music, dance and martial arts, and Japanese/Japanese-inspired food. 10am to 6pm both days.
  • FotoFun 2018 at Winter Street Studios | Saturday, April 14 | FREE – FotoFest’s Literacy Through Photography (LTP) learning program hosts FotoFun 2018, a free family fun day, upstairs at Winter Street Studios. Attendees will get to join in to create, move, read, and explore. Noon to 4pm.
  • 31st Annual Art Car Parade at Sam Houston Park | Saturday, April 14 | FREE – Feast your eyes on the most outlandish, colorful, and creative cars you can imagine as they cruise down the streets of Houston during the world’s largest art car parade at Sam Houston Park. 2pm.
  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Rock Earth Day Celebration at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, April 14 | FREE – Approximately 30 additional exhibits will provide interactive environmental activities that address recycling, upcycling, gardening, clean water, water conservation, tree care, clean air, nature appreciation and more at this Earth Day Celebration at Sugar Land Town Center. This year the entertainment includes Vocal Trash and the Texas Snakes. 3pm.
  • 10th Birthday Bash at Discovery Green | Sunday, April 15 | FREE – Discovery Green park marks a decade of events at its 10th Birthday Celebration. This bash will feature entertainment spectacles, cultural performances, live music, games and more. Noon to 6pm.
