Spend your Sunday evening enjoying ROCO Brass Quintet’s The Wonderful English and Oz at MATCH and a three-course dinner at Brennan’s at Night Out: ROCO + Brennan’s on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Start the evening at The MATCH, where the ROCO Brass Quintet will perform The Wonderful English and Oz, featuring the world premiere of a commission by Houston jazz composer Paul English.

The evening will also feature additional pieces from Farnaby, Sarcich, and Ewazen, and a complimentary happy hour following the music.

After the performance, guests can dine down the street at Brennan’s of Houston. The New Orleans-style menu includes classic options such as turtle soup, shrimp and grits, filet mignon, bananas foster and more.

About ROCO

A dynamic and innovative professional ensemble that flexes from 1 to 40 players from around the US/Canada and guest artists from around the world, ROCO performs a wide variety of intimate concerts in dozens of venues around the Greater Houston Area.

With a passion for new music, ROCO has premiered over 65 commissions from living American composers; many concerts are broadcast nationally on APM’s Performance Today.

ROCO embraces technology through free, worldwide live streaming, an online listening room of past concert recordings, and use of a smartphone app to offer audiences real-time artist commentary.

As a group within ROCO, the Brass Quintet performs its own programs and events in and around Houston. The ensemble includes two trumpeters, George Chase and Jason Adams, one horn player, Gavin Reed, Thomas Hulten on the trombone, and Jared Lantzy on bass trombone.
