Avoid common flooding areas around Houston

The folks at Houston’s WeMap have put together a list of places regularly known to flood during normal heavy storm situations. Consider these likely to be the epicenters of where Harvey flooding is likely to occur.

This is far from a comprehensive list, so don’t consider other roads automatically safe during Hurricane Harvey. Please exercise extreme caution and good judgement.

Conditions are subject to change at any time due to the unique nature of any given storm. If you want to report flooding at a given location, please contact WeMap at harvey@gewtemap.com.

Update 8/28/17: Chron.com is maintaining a list of road closures during the storm. Click here to view that list.
