  • ExploreAsia Summer Camps 2017: The Dances of India at Asia Society | Monday, June 12 – At the class, The Dances of India, children will learn and perform an original dance piece inspired by traditional and contemporary Indian dances. Students will study the history of Indian dance, clothing, costuming, and create their own props to use for the performance. Registration is $275 for non-members; $225 for members. 9am to 3pm.
  • Freaky Friday at Alley Theatre | Tuesday, June 13 to Saturday, June 17 Based on the hit Disney movies and the novel by Mary Rodgers, Freaky Friday finds an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swapping bodies. Tickets start at $33, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $26. Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 7:30pm; Friday and Saturday 8pm.
  • The Making of the Underground Railroad at the Menard House | Wednesday, June 14 | FREE – Presented by Galveston Historical Foundation’s African American Heritage Committee, this annual program features musical performances, presentations on key figures of the Underground Railroad and a coded quilts exhibit on Galveston Island. 8:30am to noon.
  • Dive-In Movie: The Secret Life of Pets at Wet’n’Wild SplashTown | Wednesday, June 14 – Join Wet’n’Wild Splashtown in Spring as they project The Secret Life of Pets over the wave pool and float around while enjoying the film. Tickets are $38.99 for adults and $32.99 for kids. All day.
  • Sonny “The Bird Man” Carlin at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Wednesday, June 14 – Join Sonny “The Birdman” Carling and delight in colorful, interactive, child-friendly, and entertaining performances with Macaw and other exotic birds at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. There will be a performance at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm. Tickets are $6. 10:30am.
  • Family Nature Night at Nature Discovery Center | Wednesday, June 14 – Begin with themed crafts and fun snacks and then take a brief nature walk before a presentation by a kid-friendly speaker at the Nature Discovery Center. $5 per person. 6:30pm.
  • Moonlight Movies for Kids: Cars at CityCentre | Wednesday, June 14 | FREE – Bring the kids to see an outdoor screening of the animated Pixar movie Cars at CityCentre. 8pm to 10pm.
  • Children’s Historical FunDay at Emancipation Park | Thursday, June 15 | FREE – Bring the kids to learn all about the history and importance of Juneteenth with storytelling, arts and crafts, and games at Emancipation Park. 2pm to 5pm.
  • The World According to Snoopy at The Hobby Center | Thursday, June 15 to Sunday, June 18 – See The World According to Snoopy, a reimagining of the beloved play from Larry Grossman and Hal Hackady at The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets range from $28.75 to $52.75, but you may find limited discounted tickets. Thursdays at 7pm; Fridays at 8pm; Saturday at 10am, 2pm, and 5pm; Sundays at 2pm.
  • Batman Returns screening at Barbara Bush Literacy Plaza | Thursday, June 15 | FREE – Bring the whole family to watch an outdoor screening of Batman Returns under the stars at the Barbara Bush Literacy Plaza. 7:15pm.
  • Friday Fundays with Frolic at Memorial City | Friday, June 16 | FREE – Have a ball with the kids and enjoy face painting, balloon art, jugglers, and to snap a picture with Frolic the dragon at Memorial City. 10am to noon.
  • Magic Day at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Friday, June 16 – Enter a world of illusion and watch local magicians perform for the annual Magic Day celebration The Woodlands Children’s Museum.   • Dad’s Day at Tilt Studio | Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18 – Help your old man feel like a kid again at Tilt Studio in Katy Mills Mall when you buy one attraction and get one attraction (of equal or lesser value) free for dad. All day each day.
  • Juneteenth Parade at Texas Southern University | Saturday, June 17 | FREE – Bring your family and friends to enjoy live music, marching bands, dance performances and more at the annual Juneteenth Parade. 10am to 11am.
