All Weekend Long

  • Karbachtoberfest at Karbach Brewing Co | Thursday through Sunday – Grab your lederhosen and dirndl and head over to the Karbach Biergarten for Karbachtoberfest. Enjoy German cuisine and festivities, live music, and souvenir half-liter steins. 2:30pm.
  • Dance Infusion 2016 at The MATCH | Friday and Saturday – The Uptown Dance Company presents Dance Infusion 2016 featuring guest choreographers Andre Silva and Chet Walker at The MATCH. Tickets range from $15 to $30, not including ticket fees. 7pm.

  • Happy Hour Thursdays at MFAH | FREE to Attend – Browse the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston while enjoying a cash bar, local DJ, and food from Ladybird Food Truck.
  • The Bronze Gold Speakeasy at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar Party like it’s 1929 at The Bronze Gold Speakeasy, an immersive band and show experience. Dress in your finest Prohibition-era attire for the hottest ticket in town and be a part of the speakeasy scene as a six-piece band, an accomplished aerial artist, a master juggler, and a guest comedian dazzle you like it’s the Roaring ’20s. Tickets are $20, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $10. 7pm.
  • Beyoncé in Concert at NRG Stadium – Watch Beyoncé slay at NRG Stadium and catch The Formation World Tour as it stops in Houston for the second time this year. Tickets range from $45 to $280, not including ticket fees. 7:30pm.
  • Old 97’s in Concert at White Oak Music Hall Old 97′s draw inspiration from a broad range of genres, including the twangy stomp of cowpunk and the melodies of power pop. Watch them play live when they come to town at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets range from $23 to $27, not including ticket fees. 8pm.
  • Ishi in Concert at The Nightingale Room | FREE to Attend – Watch the high-energy dance band from Dallas, Ishi, while enjoying a refreshing cocktail at the Nightingale Room in Downtown. 8pm.
  • Fat Tony DJ Set at Arlo’s Ballroom | FREE to Attend – Bust a move at Arlo’s Ballroom when local rapper Fat Tony DJs all the crowd-pleasing pop, hip hop, dance, and rock hits you want to hear. 10pm.

  • Art Wall 2016 Opening Event at Art Alley | FREE to Attend – Watch live painting by local artists at the Art Wall 2016 opening event. Enjoy complimentary drinks, art, and socializing at Art Alley on Sawyer St. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Women Who Rock Concert at Fitzgerald’s Elk Records presents the 1st annual Woman Who Rock event featuring bands Nina Diaz, Mind Shrine, and more at Fitzgerald’s in the Heights. Tickets are $10. 7pm.
  • Comedy Gold at Aurora Picture Show One part “laugh therapy” session and one part art history lesson, Andrea Grover presents this journey through art comedy’s greatest hits–from Marcel Duchamp and Alfred Jarry to Hennessy Youngman and Charlie Hebdo, with special interludes by Andy Kaufman, Lily Tomlin and other comic legends. Tickets are $10 and free for members. 7:30pm.
  • The Tontons with Young Mammals and Us in Concert at Raven Tower Watch as some of Houston’s favorite local bands like The Tontons, Young Mammals, and Us perform at the Raven Tower on the Near Northside. Tickets are $12 in advance; and $15 the day of the show. 8pm.
  • Midnight Madness: Star Trek at River Oaks Theatre River Oaks Theatre continues their Midnight Madness film series with the new Star Trek movie. Tickets are $10.50. Midnight.

  • Market At Marquis Downtown Lofts | FREE to Attend – Shop from different local retail vendors for vintage and locally made products at the Market at Marquis. 11am to 4pm.
  • Oktoberfest Houston at The Water Works This beer festival offers authentic polka and country acts, a library of German and local suds, and brats, ‘kraut, and strudel from local vendors along with plenty of games to play. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $80 for VIP. 12:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • James Blake in Concert at House of Blues Sway to the electronic R&B sounds of English singer James Blake at the House of Blues in Downtown. Tickets start at $43.87, not including ticket fees. 6:30pm.
  • Star Wars The Force Awakens Screening at Discovery Green | FREE to Attend – Catch a free flick in the shadow of Houston’s skyline when Bank of America screen on the green presents Star Wars The Force Awakens. Arrive one hour early for activities and a contest. 8pm.
  • Houston’s Cosplay Dance Party at Numbers Night Club Get dressed in your favorite cosplay and get ready to dance at the legendary Numbers Night Club to EDM, ’80s tunes, and dance music. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. 9pm to 2am.

  • Lessons From Scotland at Anvil Bar & Refuge The team at Anvil, led by Jessey Qi and Terry Williams, will host Lessons from Scotland, featuring spirits from their favorite distilleries. Guests will receive six pours of single malt scotch and one Scotland-inspired cocktail. Tickets are $60. 4pm to 11:30pm.
